"Right now I'm talking to Ole Miss, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, all the teams that have offered me pretty much," he said.
Spearman has also been in contact with Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisville and SMU.
This interest can partially be attributed to Spearman's versatility on the field.
"The SEC schools are mostly inside [linebacker]. Minnesota, Big Ten they are thinking outside [linebacker]."
With this amount of interest, the linebacker has stayed busy this spring and summer on visits.
"I went to Arizona, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Louisville, Western Michigan, NIU, and SMU."
While going on the visits, Spearman knew what he was searching for in a school as well as in a football program.
"I'm looking to have good academics," he said. "I want to play early, good coaches and just the community that it's around."
Spearman lists three schools who are out in front for his recruitment at the moment but things could change.
"Probably Ole Miss, Minnesota, and Vanderbilt," said Spearman when asked who his top schools were.
"I like Minnesota a lot," he said. "The coaching staff is good; they've been together for a long time. Linebacker's coaches, he's really good. So yeah, I like them a lot."
Spearman also sees things in Ole Miss that he really likes.
"That's a big big football town," he said. "They've got a lot of history. The coaches are nice. It's in the SEC and you know the SEC is big time. It's just real good all around."
Spearman plans on attending the Rebels' camp later this month and could also make another trip to the Twin Cities.
With a list of favorites already, when does Spearman plan to make his college pledge?
"Yeah, I'm probably going to decide right before my season starts."
