"It went alright," he said. "We didn't win as much as we should have but I still played pretty good. I had a couple good games of scoring so it was pretty good."
Price put up 25 points in a game while the Gophers' staff looked on. He kept the hot shooting up throughout the tourney, averaging over 40-percent from beyond the arc.
Price's performance at the Peach Jam is indicative of the type of player he can be at the next level.
"I will be able to bring energy, scoring, great shooting, defense and just help the team win," he said.
Because of his stellar play this offseason, this Detroit athlete has seen a jump in his recruitment.
"I just picked up four offers the first session of the July period," he said. "Duquesne offered, Northwestern offered, Minnesota offered and DePaul over the second session. My previous offers were Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Lamar, and St. Joseph's."
Along with a handful of offers, Price has been in contract with a number of elite teams.
"I talk to Minnesota a lot," he said. "I talk to Northwestern a lot. I talk to Eastern and Central Michigan a lot. Colorado, I talk to them a lot. I talk to Maryland and some others."
Minnesota's interest in Price recently turned into a scholarship offer.
"When the tournament was over he (Tubby Smith) called me and offered," said Price
Although it is a new offer, Price finds aspects of the Gophers appealing.
"I like they're in the Big Ten," he said. "I like their coach. Tubby Smith is a great coach. But right now I don't really know much about Minnesota yet."
Price will have the opportunity to learn what Minnesota has to offer when he makes a visit to the Twin Cities.
"I'm going to take a visit to Minnesota in I think August or September," he said. "I haven't really set up a date yet."
Along with a trip to Minnesota, Price also plans on taking other visits.
"I haven't set up any dates for other schools but I will be visiting the rest of the schools that offered so far."
When visiting schools, Price knows what he is looking for.
"Now, I'm just looking to play and make an impact when I first come there," he said. "And good academics; that's always a key too," Price added.
With plenty of visits left to make, Price is in no hurry to make a decision.
"I don't really have a timeline yet," he said. "I'll get it done in the fall. Probably in November I'll give a decision but I don't know, it's not for sure yet."
