Earlier this summer Charles had narrowed his list down to Minnesota, Marshall, Bowling Green and West Virginia as his top four. The talented defensive tackled discussed why he likes each school.
Bowling Green: "I like how enthusiastic of a team they are and how they believe in themselves for their success is so high."
Marshall: "Coach Seider is a really cool guy, I talk to him a lot and he talks about how I can come in and be a game changer there at Marshall. Marshall is also a pretty good school."
West Virginia: "I like West Virginia because it's different, but a good kind of different I really don't know how to explain it. Their defense is my fit, I played in the 3-3-5 my entire high school career and that's what they run."
Minnesota: "Minnesota is really the first school that I talked to and they've kept up that contact. I have a really good relationship with Coach Miller. Also they're in the Big Ten which is a really good conference and the coaching staff is determined to turn it around up there and just be eye-openers."
With four great schools to choose from, one school is standing out above the rest.
"I'd have to say Minnesota is my leader they're looking pretty good to me," Charles said.
Does the 6-foot-2, 250-pounder have any official visits set-up yet?
"I'm going to be visiting West Virginia next week and then I need to start setting up the other ones here pretty quick," he said.
With is final high school season under way, Charles has some personal goals for this fall.
"Really I'd like to break a couple of records and then just have fun and play football that's about it," he said.
