Presser Quotes: Kim Royston

MINNEAPOLIS — Starting safety Kim Royston answered questions from the media on Tuesday.

On the internal expectations of the team:
"I'm not going to put any numbers to it—win, losses—but I expect to play hard, player physical and play to win every game. If we do that, I think the rest will take care of itself."

On the feeling or finally getting back on the game field:
"It's been a long time coming. A lot of rehab, a lot of ups-and-downs. Now after having a year off, I'm definitely ready to get back out there and stick my nose in it."

On when he started feeling 100% healthy:
"Probably at some point in the summer. I felt good during spring ball but still I didn't have my football legs under me and maybe still a little bit of a mental aspect coming off a broken leg. I think it was some point during the summer where I just stopped thinking about it—started playing football."

On if he feels nervous anticipation about playing in Saturday's game:
"I don't feel too much nervous anticipation, more anxious to just get out there and to show the world the hard work that we have put in this summer and this camp. Like I said, it's a tough opener but as an athlete, as a competitor, there is no other stage that we would want to be on."
