GSTV: Head Coach Jerry Kill

MINNEAPOLIS — Jerry Kill fielded questions from the media following his first win as a head coach at Minnesota.

Minnesota Head Coach Jerry Kill
On players chanting his name in the locker room…
"It's a nice moment, but really the assistant coaches deserve the credit for this win. The coaches did a great job putting together a game plan and the players executed it. We probably won the game because the fans in the final two minutes were on their feet making it hard for Miami to hear."

On the week leading up to the game…
"It was a long five or six days. I appreciate my wife's support and my family's support. There are a lot of people to thank. I had very little to do with this win. I want to thank Doctor Pat Smith, he spent a lot of time with me this week."

On Gray's play…
"You can see him gaining confidence. There is a lot he still needs to learn. We can't run him 25 times a game, and we have to be careful with that. It is a building year and people will need to be patient."

On special teams…
"We blocked a punt and that is how we won the game. If we don't block that punt, we wouldn't have won. We need to find ways to win a game."
