2013 Intro: James Onwualu

One of the finest football programs in the state of Minnesota, Cretin-Derham Hall, is off to a 6-0 start. The Raiders also boast one of the finest juniors in the state, James Onwualu.

Onwualu is a versatile athlete who plays both running back and receiver for the Raiders. Six games into the season, Onwualu, has 17 receptions for 204 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 16 carries for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Because of his versatility, Onwualu has some of the nation's best interested in his services. Onwualu has recently heard from Florida, Stanford, Notre Dame, Iowa, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Penn State, Northwestern, and UCLA.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Raider has been able to take unofficial visits to Notre Dame, Iowa, Michigan State, Stanford, UCLA, and Florida. One school that Onwualu has not heard from lately is the one just a few miles down the road, Minnesota.

"I think Minnesota could be a great place to play especially since its miles from home but they haven't shown much interest," Onwualu said.

Onwualu has had the opportunity to visit the campus a few times with fellow Raider and Western Michigan commit, Jonathan Harden. Onwualu did enjoy what he saw while on the campus and hopes to hear more from the Minnesota coaching staff in the near future.
