Harden Still Considering Minnesota

Hollywood Hills (Fla.) cornerback Terry Harden has been hearing from the Gophers for some time. Despite a near-full defensive back class already, Minnesota has still been in contact with this explosive corner. GoldenSports.net has the latest on Harden and his progressing recruitment.

Harden, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound defensive back has seen his recruiting stock rise with an ACC team starting to take interest while a Big 12 team has decided to offer.

"Maryland came up and watched me play and they really liked me," he said. "Kansas State has offered me. Overall I have offers from Vanderbilt, Kansas State, New Mexico, Bethune Cookman and Minnesota," he said.

Harden also has plans to make at least two visits this fall and winter.

"I will be taking a visit this December to New Mexico and one visit this November to Bethune-Cookman," Harden said.

During mid-summer Harden had thought about committing to Minnesota but had been told they were currently full at his position. Despite this, the Gophers have continued to recruit very hard. "I still talk with Coach Miller and he actually came out and watched me practice last week and he said he liked what he saw," Harden said. "Though it's still the same situation with them where right now they are full at my position but if a spot opens up they want me to commit as soon as possible."

Minnesota still ranks as one of Harden's top choices but a Big 12 team has bumped the Gophers as his top choice.

"Kansas State is probably my top school right now but Minnesota is still up there," he said. "Kansas State, I like their whole program, facilities and the coaching staff. With Minnesota I like them for the same reason and I like the city as well."
