The 6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end took some time to talk things over with his mom and came to the decision Saturday night after he ate supper and he made the call to the Gopher coaches.
"Well I had to talk about it with my mom and everything and see if going to Minnesota is what I wanna do," he said. "It was fairly evident that that's what I wanted to do so (I made the call)."
Kill and staff are known for bringing in players who can play multiple positions and Plsek fits the bill.
"They want me as a tight end or h-back type and maybe d-end," he said. "It just depends what my body type is when I get up there."
Plsek had one thing in particular that helped him make the decision.
"I loved the coaching staff," he said. "The players were cool. I don't mind the cold weather, that's for sure. It was just the coaching staff. They really stuck out for me and they're doing a really good job. That was the main thing for me."
Before committing to Jerry Kill and the Gophers the Waco senior was hearing from a few other schools.
"Rice and Texas State and Army and Air Force. That's about it. But now its all Minnesota," he said. Now that he is committed Lincoln does not plan on taking any more visits.
What can Gophers expect to see from Lincoln? "I'd just say I'm violent and I like to get after it on the field," he said. "I like to work. I'm ready to be up there and work hard and prepare myself."
