"My visit went really good," Travis said. "I saw the campus, all of the facilities and the dorm. I also got to see the whole city, it's a really big city, and I really liked the locker room."
On Saturday Travis was able to take in the Gophers men's basketball game and was impressed by the Gophers squad on the hard court.
"It was good, the basketball team is pretty good," Travis said.
Travis also had a chance to meet with all of the Gophers coaching staff who made an effort to really make him feel at home."
"It was good meeting all of the coaches," Travis said. "The coaching staff was real nice and they really made me feel at home."
One of the main things the staff has been selling Travis on is the opportunity to come in and contribute as a freshman next season.
"They said that if I do come there that I can come in and play my freshman year and I have a good chance at playing early," Travis said.
Gopher's defensive backs coach Sawvel will be visiting Travis again this Thursday for an in-home visit and there is a chance he could commit after the visit once he gets a chance to talk it over with his father.
"Coach Sawvel will be coming to my house on Thursday," Travis said. "I don't know yet, if I'll commit, I'd have to sit down and talk it over with my dad."
