Jerry Holman shines in Chicago pre-draft finale

Gopher senior Jerry Holman earned an invitation to the Chicago pre-draft camps after impressive workouts in Minnesota and Milwaukee. Unfortunately, Holman appeared satisfied with just the invite as he scored just two points in his first two games in front of the NBA scouts and general managers. However, the 6-10 Holman had his best performance in his final game as he made seven of eleven shots and scored a game-high 15 points to lead Team 6 to an 81-72 win over Team 1.

Jerry Holman was measured at 6-9 3/4 with shoes and 6-8 3/4 without shoes. He weighed 232 pounds and had a 7-3 1/4 wingspan and 9-1 1/2 reach. Holman had the sixth longest wingpsan out of the 66 Chicago participants and tied four other players for the third-longest standing reach.

Holman finished the three games with 17 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots. He made eight of 14 (57.1%) shots from the field and was one of two from the line as his team finished 1-2.

Holman is a long, lean athletic shotblocker who still developing a complete offensive game. He is a likely late second-round pick or free agent.
