Potential Gopher Joe Krabbenhoft earns invitation

Six-foot-7 sophomore forward Joe Krabbenhoft of Sioux Falls (SD) Roosevelt has been invited to the Nike All-American Camp this July. The junior-to-be is already being called the best player to come out of the state since former NBA Rookie of the Year Mike Miller. The Minnesota Gophers have expressed interest in the talented player whose recruitment will likely take off this summer.

Joe Krabbenhoft was named first-team all-state by the AP and led his team to the final four of the state championship.

Krabbenhoft normally has played for the Dakota Schoolers AAU team, but he has joined the Howard Pulley Panthers AAU squad in some events. The Howard Pulley team plays at more national events, giving Krabbenhoft the opportuntiy to play against the top talent in the country and to get more exposure. He'll play with Howard Pulley this weekend at the Rumble in the Bronx and Nike Peach Jam and will play with the Dakota School in the Adidas Big Time Tournament.

The Gophers could be close to offering the talented forward a scholarship. They have already offered a scholarship to 6-8 forward Urule Igbavboa of Oakdale (MN) Tartan, another member of the Class of 2005.
