The 6-foot, 175-pounder currently holds offers from Iowa, West Virginia, Arizona and Cincinnati, among others.
With his recruitment starting to take off, Warfield appears content to delay his decision awhile.
"I think I just want to wait until the end of my senior year to make a decision," Warfield told HawkeyeInsider.com's Rob Howe earlier this month. "I feel like there's a lot of interest out there for me and I want to see what comes of it."
Scout's Take: Warfield is a play-making safety who plays bigger than his listed size with big-time hits. However, he still has the speed and range to be considered a free safety at the next level despite such a physical presence. He also has shown the ability to cover a wideout 1-on-1 on the outside, so corner at the college level isn't out of the question.
