Coach Matt Limegrover's Take:

"Isaac's a young man that actually we knew a little bit about but Coach Kline had seen him working out through a strength and conditioning clinic. I think he was a guy that had been a demonstrator and was really impressed.

"When Coach Kline, the strength coach, is impressed with somebody as far as their athletic ability, change of direction, the things they did, we make sure we listen.

"Once we followed up, Coach Poore did a great job of really digging into it and found out that he was a guy that really fit what we needed. Very good athlete, great hands, a student of the game. A guy who can come in and contribute for us right away out of the junior college setting."

Getting to Know:

When did you know you wanted to be a Gopher?
"Probably when I was pretty young, before I was 10 because my dad was a football coach at Caledonia and he's been very supportive of Minnesota athletics. He always taught me to be loyal to your state and to the people that work and live in Minnesota, so I always wanted to be a Gopher."

What are you planning for a major?
"I'm not sure right now. Maybe Sport Management or Recreation, Parks and Leisure Studies."

You committed very early on, why was that?
"I was being recruited by other schools but I knew in the back of my mind that if I got that call from Minnesota, that's what I wanted. As soon as I got that call I knew that this is where I wanted to be."

What are your goals for next season?
"Next season would be to play as much as possible. Hopefully we can get to a bowl game and just win as many games as possible."

Is there a particular athlete that you try to model yourself after?
"My favorite wide receiver would probably be Jordy Nelson or Tim Dwight. I just try to watch those guys–or Larry Fitzgerald–and try to mimic what they do because they're professional athletes, which means they're the best in the world."

How do you feel about the new uniforms?
"The new uniforms are amazing. I think they're crazy awesome. I don't really know that much about them, but I like them a lot."

What is your favorite TV show?
"Probably Seinfeld."

Who is your favorite musician?
"I'm not a big music guy, but I like 70's and 80's music and country music."
