Gophers Offer Texas Lineman

The Minnesota Golden Gophers were the latest team to offer Irving (Texas) offensive guard Rami Hammad when they extended a scholarship on Wednesday.

According to Scout.com's Greg Powers, Rami Hammad, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound offensive lineman from Irving (Texas) High has offers from a wide array of schools, but his list has exploded over the past weeks.

The latest, Minnesota, offered last night following Arizona, Arizona State and Houston who pulled the trigger earlier in the week.

Hammad also holds offers from ULM, Tulsa, SMU, Rice, New Mexico, Duke, Colorado and Baylor.

The talented guard prospect was named the offensive line MVP at the Next Level Athlete Showcase that was held at Lancaster High earlier this year.
