White May Visit Minnesota

Dothan (Ala.) Northview cornerback Marquez White has seen his stock rise as of late.

"Recruiting is going fine," White said. "I'm just enjoying the process."

Minnesota is one of the schools pursuing White the hardest.

"I'm hearing the most from Georgia, USC, Florida State, and Minnesota," he said.

White has so many offers he can't even remember them all. The list includes the defending National Champions as well as many others.

"I have offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, University of Alabama – Birmingham, Tulane, Arkansas State, and Minnesota," he said. "I can't remember them all there's like fifteen or sixteen."

The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder is a dynamic player on the gridiron.

"I would describe myself as a playmaker," White said. "I'm at my best when I play the ball. I prefer intercepting a pass versus forcing a fumble. I feel I could improve on tackling."

White plans on going to a camp this summer.

"I plan on going to USC this summer (for a camp)."

The talented cornerback is also hoping to visit Minnesota in the upcoming months.

"They think my size is important and they want me to visit," he explained. "I should be able to visit."

Coaching and his potential teammates will play an important factor in White's decision.

"The coaching, good teammates and whether they have my major will be the main factors in my decision," he said.
