Prep Career Highlights:
Travis helped lead his team to a 9-3 record and a district championship during his senior season. He was named second-team Florida Class 6A all-state and earned all-area honors.
Coach Tracy Claeys' Take:
"Damarius Travis is a big safety. That was one of our emphasis, was to try and go get a kid who is big at safety and can run and he fits the bill. Had a great visit with him. At safety, those kids, we've told them, put the pressure on them.
"We're going to expect snaps out of them right away. So they have to come in expecting to learn what to do and get going. When we play the bigger run teams and people running the football I think he'll be a big addition to us because he has great speed for his size."
