Newby Narrowing List, Set to Decide

With a number of running back offers out right now, the Gophers are hoping to lure another rusher into the Minnesota backfield. While they are still in the running for a few top backs, one talented player, Terrell Newby, has recently narrowed his list. Did the Gophers make the cut?

Newby, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound back out of Chaminade Prep (Cal.), has been in contact with Minnesota since they offered him a scholarship.

"I have I've had a lot of contact with them since they offered," he said.

Despite developing a relationship with the Gopher staff, Newby has recently narrowed his list down to three schools.

"I've really been narrowing down my timeline and I will be committing this week," he said. "[It's] between Cal, Oregon and Nebraska."

With these three top programs, Newby feels like he will be able to make a good decision.

"It's a big choice for me but I believe that they are all great schools."
