At 6-1, 185-pounds, Waukesha (WI.) Catholic Memorial safety Alec Kocour is someone that doesn't hold the double digit offers or has a lofty ranking, but he does bring a big game. Minnesota is one of the schools that have taken notice of that potential, but do they think highly enough to maybe offer him?
"I have had contact with Minnesota," Kocour told GopherDigest. "They liked what they saw of me in person and gave me a few things to work on. They also asked for me to come back for their last camp. I am going to go up to it and will be ready to shine."
Kocour holds one offer with Illinois State currently, but is hearing from many others like North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Iowa State, Northern Illinois, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Ball State, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Minnesota. While those are the teams he has been in contact with lately, he favors two teams and one is the Gophers.
"I mean what's there not to like about Minnesota," said Kocour. "The coaches are really cool and easy to talk to. The stadium and facilities are some of the nicest I have seen and just the atmosphere is awesome."
"Minnesota are in my top 2 schools of where I would want to go along with Wisconsin, so it would be really cool to get an offer from them. I'd love to be a part of the Gopher family or the Badger family."
