The Waiting Game

FL DE Isaiah Buehler holds offers from smaller BCS level schools, but is hoping that some schools from the power conferences come calling

Minnesota has been working on recruiting the Sunshine State because there is always top talent year in and year out. Apopka (FL.) defensive end Isaiah Buehler has seen his recruitment go well, but is still waiting for some bigger BCS offers to roll in.

"My recruitment is going well," Buehler told GopherDigest. "I got offers from Delaware, Charleston Southern, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Mercer, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, North Dakota State, Colgate and Presbyterian. I still am getting a lot of stuff from bigger programs like Iowa State, Miami FL, Rutgers, Mississippi State, Indiana, Ball State, Middle Tennessee, Central Florida, Syracuse and Minnesota."

The 6-3, 225-pound high motor defensive end has not been hearing a lot from Minnesota, but is hoping the interaction can expand and result in a offer.

"The contact that I have had with Minnesota is that they're recruiting me, nothing more and nothing less," said Buehler. "Its probably because I am not high on their board yet. I do have interest in Minnesota, though. I like the environment and that they are close to my family that lives in Wisconsin. Their program reminds me a lot of the one at my school. I know they have amazing education programs and a great community along with being an extremely hard working team."

"If they happened to offer me, it would mean a lot. I would be able to play close to my family and then I would be able to get a top notch education. I couldn't be more happier and thankful if that happened."

He is not in any rush to decide as he plans on announcing in February and still doesn't have a top list yet.
