There is no shortage of talented point guards in the 2014 class and one of the top guards in the nation is Arlington (TX.) Mansfield Timberview senior point guard Alex Robinson. While the four star recruit holds over double digits offers, he is working to cutting that number of suitors.
"My recruitment is going as planned and I am going to take two unofficial visits to Vanderbilt on Tuesday and go from there to Memphis," Robinson told GopherDigest. " I have a lot of offers, but I am probably going to cut it down to a list in the next couple of weeks. I don't a list right now, but I'm trying to figure out one."
One of the schools to jump in the mix was Minnesota and he looks back at the first time he found out that Coach Pitino and the Gophers are very interested in him.
"Minnesota really liked my play style and Coach Pitino had called me letting me know that they wanted to offer me," said Robinson. "They are a school I really want to look into. I know that they get a lot of support and I know they like to get up and down there."
"Coach Pitino is a pretty cool dude. He is a young coach, so I can relate to him and he knows what we like. He is really cool to talk too. I could see myself possibly taking a visit to Minnesota."
The 6-1, 170-pound floor general sees the floor clearly when he is on the hardwood, but when it comes to his college decision, his mind isn't very clear on that decision date.
"I am not sure when I want to make my final decision, but I don't want it to be too late," said Robinson. "The factors with my decision will be play style, my relationships with the coaches and if I can stay there for four years."
