"Practice went well," Schlichte told GopherDigest. "The pace of practice was really good. Just how fast practice moved and the speed of everyone. The defensive backs looked fast and overall very impressive."
While the 6-1, 202-pound signal-caller was there, he also got to interact with some of the coaching staff. What did the coaching staff tell him about his upcoming season and did any offer talk came up between the two parties?
"I got to talk to Coach Zebrowski and Coach Poore after and also Coach Kill," said Schlichte. "They told me that they are excited to watch my games this year. If I play well good things will happen they also told me, but they didn't mention any scholarship talk at that moment."
Last season, he completed 64% of his passes, throwing for 2,278 yards, having 25 passing touchdowns and 5 rushing touchdowns. Schlichte plans to go to games this fall to Minnesota, Iowa, Iowa State, Wisconsin and Nebraska.
