Corley Interested in Minnesota

The Gophers have two defensive line commits in their class, but are looking to build further depth. Alabama native, defensive end Herlandez Corley has been in the talks with Minnesota lately, but will it lead to an offer?

Mobile (AL.) McGill-Toolen High senior defensive end Herlandez Corley is a prospect under the radar, but holds offers from Chattanooga, Liberty, Furman, Troy, Middle Tennessee State, UAB, Tulane and Northern Illinois. Still, he is working hard to booster his offer list and hopes his talks with Minnesota turn to an offer.

"I have been in contact with Minnesota," Corley told GopherDigest. "They are evaluating me and watching film on me right now. I like Minnesota because it's a awesome place to play football and live. I have been talking to the Defensive coordinator Coach Tracy Claeys and Defensive Backs Coach Jay Sawvel. I am pretty tight with them, so it nice when we talk about things."

The 6-3, 250 pound physical defensive lineman knows that while the Gophers haven't offered him, it would be a game changer if they did.

"If Minnesota offered me, then it would mean a lot," Corley said. "I'll probably wait think it over with my family before possibly pulling the trigger, but it would be huge. I am undecided where I will be visiting this fall and how many visits I will be taking right now, so we will have to wait and see."
