It has become pretty evident that Minnesota is in the market for point guards and are looking at the JUCO route. Odessa Junior College point guard Josh Gray is a very coveted guard and the Gophers added their hat to the mix when they offered floor general recently.
"Coach Young from Minnesota called me and explained to me about the program," Gray told GopherDigest. "He also explained to me how they play and how I'll fit in. He was just was telling me things like that and it was the more we talked about but that was the main points. I was really excited to have the option to play for Minnesota if I wanted to. I know they have a great coaching staff and the style of play is something I like too. I love the support already from Minnesota and glad they are involved in my recruitment."
The 6-1, 175-pound Gray was at Texas Tech before transferring to the JUCO level and now holds offers from Tennessee, USC, Auburn, Memphis, Nebraska, Arizona State and Minnesota, but is also receiving interest from many others. He talks about where things stand in his recruitment and if he any idea of his travel plans.
"I don't have a top list," said Gray. I don't have any visits set up yet. I am working on figuring those things out and what will be the main factors to me."
