Jensen Working For First Offer

Minnesota is working hard on the recruiting trails and have been putting an emphasis on keeping guys home and hope they can do the same with Sartell (MN.) 2015 LB Nick Jensen, who is working on making sure they remember him after this season.

Sartell (MN.) junior outside linebacker Nick Jensen is a sleeper prospect that many haven't heard of, but is a name you might remember at the end of this season.

"Unfortunately, my recruitment is pretty cold right now," Jensen told GopherDigest. "I haven't talked to anyone recently. I haven't heard anything, but I do have a lot of interest in Minnesota! I'm very open to anyone right now."

The 6-1, 205-pound athletic linebacker talks about the positives he sees in the Golden Gophers and if they could be receiving a visit from him this fall as well.

"What stands out about Minnesota is academics, coaching staff and competition," said Jensen. "I just really like it all. I plan as of now to visit Minnesota and Indiana this fall. My parents and I are discussing when I will take those visits exactly, though. I am looking for a school that has good academics, playing time, competition, coaches and atmosphere."

What would it mean to the in-state defender if he did land that Minnesota offer?

"It would mean a great deal if Minnesota offered me, due to it being my first offer and a school I would like to attend," said Jensen. "I plan on working hard every single day, so I can possibly put on the maroon and gold as a Gopher!"

His last game he performed really well and he had 2 sacks, some tackles 2 receptions with one going for a touchdown.
