Howell Names A Leader

One of the top targets on Minnesota's board is Coral Gables (FL.) senior running back Greg Howell and he discusses what he thought about his official visit to Minneapolis, who his leader is and how his senior season is going

With the college football season in full swing, prospects are making it around to campuses and Minnesota last week had a big time visitor when Coral Gables (FL.) senior running back Greg Howell came in to check out what the Gophers have to offer.

"My official visit to Minnesota went great," Howell told GopherDigest. "I got to tour around the campus and see many things. I love the fan base at Minnesota and they were very welcoming."

The 6-0, 215-pound physical running back holds offers from Florida Atlantic, Western Kentucky, Marshall, Georgia State and Minnesota.

What does Howell's leader board look like after his official visit to Minneapolis?

"I would rate this visit from 1-10 a 10 because I enjoyed it a whole it," said Howell. "I can say that Minnesota is my leader now."

Last season as a junior, Howell carried the ball 120 times for over 700 yards and 7 scores, so will his attention be on his recruitment or having an even better senior season before he hits the next level?

"I don't know where I will visit next, but I am more focused on my senior season," said Howell. "My season is great. We are 3-0 right now. I know I got 529 rushing yards through the first three games. I am just trying to get better each day."
