Nearing The Finish Line

With his visits coming to a close, Brookfield (WI.) Central rising senior prospect Riley LaChance updates how his visit to Minnesota went and where things lie in his recruitment

Things have really picked up for Brookfield (WI.) Central senior shooting guard Riley LaChance after his impressive tour on the AAU circuit this past summer. However, he is looking to end his recruitment soon and recently took a visit out to Minneapolis to see what new coach Richard Pitino and Minnesota have to offer him. He talks about that experience and where he all went.

"My visit to Minnesota went great," LaChance told GopherDigest. "What I got to do on the trip was see the team practice and went to the football game. After that I got to hang out with the players, toured the campus and had a academic meeting. I talked to the coaches as well and they said that they'd love to have me and that is great opportunity for me there."

The 6-2, 165-pound sharp shooter has made multiple trips to various schools this fall, but has another visit on hand to Iowa this weekend. What does his timeline look like and who are the schools left standing for him?

"I'll probably decide next week sometime. My main factors when I commit will be my bond with coaching staff, the opportunity to play and if it is just an overall good fit for me."

"My finalists are Minnesota, Creighton, Iowa and Vanderbilt. I will be visiting Iowa this weekend. We will see how things play out."
