Bell Reflects On Minnesota Offer

Minnesota during their bye week hit the ground running on the recruiting trail and offered one of the top juniors from Georgia in stud wide receiver Shadell Bell

Minnesota during their past bye week was busy on the road recruiting and one of their offers that was extended went to Decatur (GA.) Columbia junior wide receiver Shadell Bell. He talks about receiving that Golden Gopher offer and what his reaction was to the news.

"Coach Anderson came and visited me October 9th," Bell told GopherDigest. "He asked me how many offers do I have now, so I told him and he said add one more. My reaction was complete shock and all I could say was thanks so much."

The 6-3, 200-pound talented wide out doesn't know too much about Minnesota quite yet, but does feel good about his relationship with running back coach Brian Anderson.

"I really don't know to much about Minnesota besides that it is a good and pretty colored school," said Bell. "A very good Big Ten school. I like that they want playmakers like me."

"I just met Coach Anderson recently, but I can tell her down to earth and pretty nice tough coach. Look forward to building that bond."

Bell already holds many offers early in his recruitment from Clemson, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Virginia, Duke, Alabama, Marshall, Appalachian State, West Virginia, North Carolina State and now Minnesota. He has been living up to high standards on the field, but still is working on figuring out who all to visit this fall.

"Our season is going great," said Bell. "We are 3-3, but we are improving. I got 12 catches for around 200 yards and 3 touchdowns. I haven't made up my mind on who to visit yet, but I plan on visiting some schools."
