One of top players in North Dakota is Kindred senior wide receiver Eric Bachmeier and is a player that Minnesota is interested in. He updates how his senior season is going along with how he is doing personally.
"My season is going good," Bachmeier told GopherDigest. "We are currently 3 and 4, win the next two games and we are in the playoffs for sure. Two games that we know we can win also."
"My season individually I believe I have 21 total touchdowns. I got 17 rushing and 4 passing. I am averaging about 150 yards rushing a game, so around 1,000 yards rushing on the season. I am not sure on how many total rushing yards or passing yards I have yet. I am just trying to get to the playoffs."
The 6-2, 185-pound wide out isn't tons of attention in his recruitment, but he is hearing from a number of schools including the Gophers.
"My recruitment is going good," said Bachmeier. "I am still getting calls, emails, texts every day from coaches. I got no offers yet, which sort of disappoints me, but just have to keep working hard to be successful."
"North Dakota State and North Dakota have been in contact with me almost every week. The Division-2 schoolsI am hearing from like everyday as well. I am hearing from Minnesota, North Dakota State, North Dakota, St.Cloud, Bemidji State, MSUM. However, if I had a top three, then it would be North Dakota State, North Dakota and Minnesota in no order. I really want to go to a place that will give me the best opportunity to become the best that I can be and I feel like these schools can provide that."
Minnesota is a team he is very high on and he reflects back on his trip to Minneapolis recently.
"I went down to the homecoming game vs Iowa," said Bachmeier. "Minnesota has great atmosphere, love the big city and all the supportive fans."
While Bachmeier is still in the process of figuring out when he would like to decide and what the major factors will come into play when that time arrives.
"It is hard to say right now on when I will decide," said Bachmeier. "I want to get it done as soon as possible that is for sure. The factors would probably be the education, the coaches and the way they care about their players, and seeing where I can make the biggest impact to benefit the team."
