Ready To Visit

Minnesota is facing arch rival Wisconsin this weekend and you count on many visitors being on hand. The Gophers will have a talented JUCO linebacker in and he talks about his upcoming trip and much more

Minnesota will arguably have their biggest game ever in TCF Bank Stadium when the No. 16 ranked Wisconsin Badgers come rolling in this weekend. There are many official visitors expected to be present and Iowa Western middle linebacker Cody Poock plans to be one of them.

"I've been hearing from Minnesota for about 3 weeks or so," Poock told GopherDigest. "Coach Kill and Coach Miller like me and can't wait to get me on my official. I will be taking my official visit to Minnesota this weekend. I'm excited to see the facilities and game day atmosphere."

The 6-3, 230 phyiscal junior college linebacker holds offers from New Mexico, Georgia State, Old Dominion and North Dakota State, but would love to add a Golden Gopher offer to the mix.

"I do not have a Minnesota offer yet," said Poock. "They have been talking about it though. If Minnesota did offer me, then it would just be a dream come true playing in the Big Ten. It was my first ever college football game I attended and its close to home, so my family would be able to see my play and that is a factor in my decision."

While he has a couple offers in his hand, he is still hearing from others and has another official visit set up.

"I am hearing from New Mexico, Georgia State, Old Dominion, North Dakota State, who I have offers from along with Utah State, Iowa and Iowa State. I am also taking another official visit to TCU on November 30th."
