Poock Enjoys Time At Minnesota

The Golden Gophers had many visitors on hand to watch the rivalry game against the Badgers and JUCO linebacker Cody Poock was one of them. He talks about his experience at Minneapolis, who his leader currently is and what his decision timeline looks like

Minnesota had their biggest recruiting weekend of the year when the Gophers squared off against Wisconsin. While Minnesota couldn't pull out the win against the Badgers, they did make many good impressions on many of the visitors especially Iowa Western middle linebacker Cody Poock.

"The official visit went well," Poock told GopherDigest. "I liked the facilities, coaches and the game day atmosphere, which were all very nice. I went to Coach Kill's house and we talked for awhile and he told that he wanted to offer me! I expected getting the offer because they are close to home and I've always followed the Gophers a little bit."

The 6-3, 230-pound physical JUCO linebacker talks about what the highlight of his trip was and when a decision might be coming.

"My favorite part of my visit had to be the game, said Poock. "It was amazing and the game day atmosphere is so nice. Minnesota is my leader right now."

"I don't know when I will be committing. I still have to talk to my parents and I didn't really think about committing on the visit really because I haven't talked to my parents or coaches yet. Still, Minnesota is my top school."

The Golden Gophers already have one linebacker commit in this class with Mansfield (TX.) Legacy outside linebacker Everett Williams.
