Jones Recaps Minnesota Official Visit

Minnesota's prized commit in Washburn senior tailback Jeff Jones headed up to Minneapolis for a official visit and he recaps how his trip went

The biggest commit in this class to most if not all is Minneapolis (MN.) Washburn senior running back Jeffrey Jones. What is there to like about him? Well, he is the No. 14 ranked running back in the land and a high four star recruit by Fox Sports Next. Not to mention, he won Mr. Football in the state of Minnesota earlier this week as he had a stellar senior season.

With his recruitment, that has been less than easy as he committed to the Golden Gophers way back in February. However, many schools haven't stopped the pressure in flipping the switch on Minnesota and have been turning up the heat. This weekend he went to Minnesota for his official visit and he recaps how it went.

"The visit went really good," Jones told GopherDigest. "I got to build a better relationship with the coaches and some players after this trip. My visit would be a 10 out 10."

The talented 6-1, 190-pound running back did enjoy a lot of things about his visit and has one more thing left to enjoy.

"Yeah, I did get a huge cookie cake (laughter). I haven't ate it yet, but I can't wait. As far as any more visits, I don't know yet."
