Nash Gives UM Visit High Remarks

The Golden Gophers had quite a few official visitors in town and Sioux Falls (IA.) athlete Ron Nash gave a rave review on his experience at Minnesota this past weekend

Minnesota had a sleeper official visitor in this past weekend when walk-on candidate Sioux Falls (IA.) athlete Ron Nash made it up to Minneapolis for an official visit. He talks about how it lived up to expectations and his conversation with the Golden Gopher coaching staff.

"My visit went very well," Nash told GopherDigest. "I liked everything about it. They have a great program along with great people and a great campus. Coach kill is not only a great coach but a great person. I did get to talk to the coaches and they just told me that they still want me as a preferred walk-on. They said that the best players play and every player gets plenty of opportunities to prove themselves and earn their spot on the roster."

The 6-1, 195-pound athlete is getting recruited by Minnesota for both wide receiver and defensive back, but the Gophers are not the only one interested in his services.

"Right now, I am getting recruited by Minnesota, Iowa State, Wyoming, UNI, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Army, and Northwest Missouri state. My offers are from Wyoming, UNI, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Army and Northwest Missouri State, and those are all full rides. I have preferred walk-on offers from Iowa State and Minnesota. I'm in the process of deciding right now what school I will continue my football career as well."
