Jensen Takes In Minneapolis

The Golden Gophers pounded the rock this past season and you can credit some of their success from the fullback position. Minnesota had a big blocker come in with Sartell (MN.) junior fullback Nick Jensen making it in for their junior day and he talks about it here

Sartell (MN.) junior fullback Nick Jensen made the short trip to Minnesota for their junior day and got to see a lot during his there.

"The visit went great," Jensen told GopherDigest. "They basically showed us all of their facilities. I personally wish we could've toured the weight room. The position meeting went really well too! I feel like I connected great with Coach Reeves. I had the pleasure of talking to him most of the visit."

The 6-1, 205-pound hard hitting fullback talked with H-Backs/Tight Ends Coach Rob Reeves while on his visit and feels he has what they are looking for.

"He told me how their offense works with a fullback," said Jensen. "It was extremely similar to my high school offense. He said my film would be great to evaluate. He explained what he looks for in fullbacks and I'd say I fit the mold very well. He wanted all of my info and highlights, so I'm getting that together and sending it over."

After making it back up to campus, what does Jensen think about the Golden Gophers and could they now possibly be his leader?

"I didn't realize how much I didn't know about the program and staff at Minnesota," said Jensen. "I will definitely be going to camp there, spring practice, and talking to them. My recruitment is wide open, but Minnesota has been showing the most interest. I really like them, so they're close to my top program. I'll still be looking and taking interest in other Midwest programs. I do think it would be cool blocking for Jeff Jones and being apart of an upcoming program though!"
