Minnesota's bubble finally bursted on Sunday when the Golden Gophers were not announced in the field of 68, but will continue their season in the NIT
The NCAA tournament was announced Sunday evening and while Minnesota
didn't come up in any region, they will still continue playing this season. The Golden Gophers got invited to play in the National Invitational Tournament. They will be a No. 1 seed and will open play in this 32-team tournament on Tuesday against High Point.
Minnesota (20-13) will be facing against the Big South Conference regular season champions High Point Panthers (16-14).
The game is set for 7:15 p.m. CT at Williams Arena and it will be broadcast on ESPN3.
