Tough Break

Minnesota is coming off a great season by going 8-4 last year, but one of the keys to continue that success is staying healthy, which looks to be an early problem with linebacker Cody Poock going down

Minnesota look to take a blow this week as Gophers linebacker Cody Poock has a ACL tear in his right knee, according to multiple reports .

He suffered the injury at Saturday's practice and on Sunday tweeted out on Twitter that, "Everything happens for a reason."

This will hurt the defense as he had been playing with the first team defense next to Damien Wilson and De'Vondre Campbell on the linebacker unit.

The 6-3, 230-pound linebacker had 80 tackles for his team this past season and on the recruiting front picked Minnesota over TCU, New Mexico, and Old Dominion.

He still has three years of eligibility remaining after transferring from Iowa Western Community College.
