Holtan Has Another Productive Visit

Stewartville (MN.) junior offensive tackle Dillon Holtan made it back up to Minnesota and he talks about his visit and who he all got to talk to including an NFL Super Champion

Stewartville (MN.) junior offensive tackle Dillon Holtan is no stranger to the Twin Cities as he has been up to Minnesota four times since September. He made it back up on Friday to watch the Gophers practice and got the chance to head coach Jerry Kill along with offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Matt Limegrover and linebackers coach Mike Sherels.

"The visit went well," Holtan told GopherDigest. "I went to practice and got up close in the drills. Before that though Coach Kill came and talked to me. He told me he was glad to see me there and is excited for camp this summer. Coach Limegrover and Coach Sherels both talked to me too. It was a fun visit just being able to be up close to a B1G practice."

The 6-6, 270-pound tackle not only got to see some of the coaching staff, but also the opportunity to meet a Gopher alum and Super Bowl Champion.

"Pittsburgh Steeler tight end Matt Spaeth was there visiting as well just coming back to his alma mater to see how the team was looking," said Holtan. "That was pretty crazy that I shook hands with him and talked to a Super Bowl Champion tight end. He was super nice and very tall! Made me feel small (laughter). I had fun and my mom did as well."

Holtan is hearing from Cincinnati, Michigan State, Missouri, Rutgers, South Dakota State amongst others. He plans on attending several camps this summer.
