Pfaff Enjoys Minnesota

Mequon (WI.) Homestead junior defensive end David Pfaff has seen his recruitment soar and has been racking up more and more offers. This weekend, he went to Minnesota and left very impressed

One of the fastest rising players in the Midwest is Mequon (WI.) Homestead junior defensive end David Pfaff, who has picked up offers from Iowa State, Syracuse, Northern Illinois recently in his recruitment. He made his way to Minneapolis to watch the Gophers in their spring game this weekend and had an awesome time.

"The visit was awesome," Pfaff told GopherDigest. "I missed the practice, but that was ok. I got to see the campus all of their facilities and meet Coach Phelps, Coach Zebrowski and Coach Kill. All awesome men. I think Gopher fans are one if the top fans in the whole nation and the school obviously takes huge pride in what they have accomplished in sports and it would be awesome to play for them."

The coaches made it aware he could come in and help their defensive line and wouldn't be shocked to see a Golden Gopher offer down the road.

"I got to see how I would affect their defensive line and asked what they liked about my film," said Pfaff. "They see me at the 3 tech. They think of me as someone who can blow past the linemen to create chaos. I feel like I could do very well in their scheme. I think they need to learn a little more about me but I think I have a good shot at getting an offer."

The 6-3, 255-pound high motor defensive end got to experience a lot, but thought getting the chance to talk to the coaches and seeing the campus were the highlights of his time at Minnesota.

"I would probably say talking with the coaches and taking a campus tour was the best part of my trip," said Pfaff. "It's a beautiful campus. We talked about building relationships and getting me up there for camp. Also about what they saw in me and what their defense needs."

Pfaff will be going to Northern Illinois on Saturday.
