Roberts Back At Wisconsin

Making his second trip to Wisconsin this month, Rhinelander (WI) sophomore tight end Luke Roberts is on the radar of the Badgers' coaching staff.

The 2016 class in Wisconsin looks like it will be a pretty strong group and one of the top players, arguably, is Rhinelander (WI) sophomore tight end Luke Roberts. He took the short trip over to Madison to see the spring game and got to talk to several coaches like secondary coach Ben Strickland and tight end coach Jeff Genyk.

"It was great. I talked to Coach Strickland about the camp a little bit then I got to go down on the field and I talked to Coach Genyk a little bit," Roberts told BadgerNation. "After that, we watched the game and I talked to Sam Arneson briefly.

"My talk with the coaches was great. We talked about what I needed to improve on and the camps once again. Coach Strickland is my primary recruiter and I feel like our relationship good. We talk every time I come to Madison and he knows a lot about me."

The 6-3, 215-pound tight end got to see this year's Badgers squad and gave his thoughts on the team.

"I thought they were good and I love the way the tight ends are used," said Roberts. "I also feel like there is a brother hood down there with the players."

In addition to Wisconsin's camp, Roberts plans on going to Northwestern's summer camp.
