Gophers Stop By To See Ingold

The Minnesota coaching staff have been on the road and a certain Gopher coach was in Wisconsin to see Green Bay (WI.) Bay Port junior athlete Alec Ingold

The Golden Gopher coaching staff is hitting the road to strengthen relationships and build new ones during the spring. Quarterback coach Jim Zebrowski plans on beginning to start a fresh relationship with Green Bay (WI.) Bay Port junior athlete Alec Ingold when he stopped by his school on Monday.

"Coach Zebrowski and I talked a little bit and he just got a chance to see in person which was good," Ingold told GopherDigest. "This was my first time talking with a Minnesota coach and it was good to bump into him. I mean it'll be interesting to see where our relationship builds from here because I don't know him very well and he doesn't know me very well. I can't wait to learn more about the program because I know the are a big time program and see how the interest is between the two of us."

With Minnesota expressing new interest in the Wisconsin native, would he possibly be in favor of checkin out Minneapolis now?

"If the interest is there, then definitely I will visit (Minnesota), said Ingold. "I hope that we can build a good relationship to the point of being able to visit and go to camp and possibly earn a scholarship."

The 6-2, 205-pound versatile athlete holds two offers from North Dakota State and Illinois State and has taken unofficial visits for practice tours of the facilities and campus to Wisconsin, Iowa State, Michigan State, Northern Illinois and North Dakota State so far this spring.
