Moore Picks Up Gopher Offer

Minnesota has been active on the recruiting trail during the spring and made it out to Olathe (KS.) North High School to see their highly touted junior tight end Josh Moore. The Gophers offered Moore and now he discusses the offer and more inside!

One of the top players in the Midlands is Olathe (KS.) North junior tight end Josh Moore and the Gophers have been closely him for awhile, but pulled the trigger and offered the big physical tight end Tuesday.

"(Minnesota) came in this morning and they came to watch me lift this morning," Moore told GopherDigest. "I didn't really get a chance to speak to the coach much, but I know that when I came back for after school weights, my coach told me that Minnesota offered me."

"I would just talk to them every once in awhile and they have came to see me previous when Coach Miller was there. I saw the offer coming and I thought it was going to come earlier. I was excited to pick up an offer from them. I don't know anything about them, but most definitely I'll be watching them and visiting. I was just glad that I was able to get that offer and they like the way I play, so it means a lot."

Moore is the No. 17 ranked tight end and a three star recruit by Scout.com. The 6-5, 250-pound holds offers from Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, TCU, Texas Tech and now Minnesota. Still, he is hearing from several other suitors and gives the latest on his recruitment and upcoming visit plans.

"I don't have any favorites right now," said Moore. "Hopefully, when I get done with basketball next week that I will be at Oklahoma and in May I will be at Oklahoma State. I also will be camping on June 1 at Ohio State."
