Minnesota and offensive coordinator coach Matt Limegrover have been looking to make their presence felt in the Lone Star State and offered one of the biggest prospects in the state literally when Galena Park (TX.) North Shore junior center Tyler Moore landed a Golden Gopher offer.
"I was contacted by Coach Limegrover and we sat down to talk after practice," Moore told GopherDigest. "He has kept in contact with me and he went back to Minnesota to present me to the rest of the staff and then he told me over the phone the news. I was really excited because I love Big Ten football."
"I know they have a good medical program and that they play good football and they played down here two years in a row and this offer was a surprise. I'm very interested in Minnesota and I do plan on visiting."
The massive 6-5, 330-pound center now holds offers from Louisiana Tech, North Texas and Minnesota. However, the No. 6 center in the nation and a three star recruit by Scout- feels more offers are on the way, but hasn't narrowed anything down yet.
"My recruitment is going good," said Moore. "I feel an offer from Texas and Oklahoma are coming soon. I grew up a fan of Texas and I don't have a top list right now. I'm not sure on any upcoming visits either."
