Ford Gets Out-Of-The Blue Offer

Minnesota is looking to add speed and athleticism to their defensive line and offered Gibsonton (FL.) East Bay junior defensive end Marques Ford, which was one he didn't see coming

Gibsonton (FL.) East Bay junior defensive end Marques Ford is one of the hottest recruits in the land by holding 34 offers and recently received an unexpected offer from Minnesota. He talks about his Golden Gopher offer and if a visit in the future might happen.

"It was exciting at first and now I am trying to find more information on Minnesota," Ford told GopherDigest. "I don't anything about them yet. The offer came out of the blue. I am pretty interested, but I am going to start weighing down my options pretty soon after spring, so I can't really tell if they are high on my list. Yeah, of course I will visit. No, weather or distance doesn't really matter to me either."

With the 6-4, 220-pound athletic end hearing from so many schools, the three star recruit updates his recruitment and if any schools are sticking out to him at the moment.

"My recruitment is going great right now and I am enjoying it," said Ford. "I have been talking to a few more schools lately. I heard people start to narrow things down when their recruitment slows down, so that should be after spring. I don't have a leader or anything yet. I have been thinking about taking some visits this summer, but I haven't figured out anything as well."
