Surreal Feeling

Woodstock (GA.) Etowah junior offensive guard Brad Morgan had a surreal feeling when he received his Minnesota offer recently

The Golden Gophers have been wanting to build depth on their offensive and defensive lines and wide receiver coach Brian Anderson recently sent out two new offers in the Peach State that targeted both issues. Minnesota offered Woodstock (GA.) Etowah junior offensive guard Brad Morgan and his brother, junior defensive tackle Scott Morgan. The physical guard discusses his new offer and what Coach Anderson all told him.

"It was after school and I was with my offensive line coach Chris Pack discussing the camp schedule for the summer," (Brad) Morgan told GopherDigest. "My head coach Dave Svehla texted me saying to call Coach Anderson. He had visited our school the previous week. My brother and I called him on speaker and we were offered about a minute into the conversation. It was a surreal feeling and it definitely felt good."

"He told us that he really liked what he saw in both our films and in us as individuals. He was also excited on what we could bring to the program. I kind of saw the offer coming."

With the 6-4, 265-pound guard holding up to 14 offers, this was his first major BCS offer and that has vaulted the Golden Gophers all the way to the top for him.

"I am very interested in Minnesota and what they have to offer," said Morgan. "I plan on visiting them in the summer and/or on an official visit. Minnesota is my first huge offer. They are by far my leader. If I end up attending Minnesota, I will get it done in the trenches along with my brothers on my side. Ski-U-Mah!"
