Minnesota picked up their fourth commitment when Akron (OH.) Archbishop Hoban senior offensive tackle Ted Stieber committed. The massive 6-6, 330-pound tackle committed to the Gophers over Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Illinois, Kent State, Marshall, Miami Oh, Ohio, Rutgers, Syracuse, Toledo and Western Michigan. He was also hearing from Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin.
Stieber becomes the second offensive lineman in this class joining Chaska (MN.) senior offensive tackle Bronson Dovich.
Here is Allen Trieu's evaluation of new commit, Ted Stieber- "Stieber is a massive bodied kid who uses that size and natural strength to move people in the run game. In pass protection, he has a good base and that strength allows him to stonewall defenders, but he must improve his overall flexibility and ability to bend. He will play high at times. He's a tough kid and a strong kid, and appears ideally suited for right tackle in college."
