Coughlin, a 6-foot-4, 205-pounder from Eden Prairie (Minn.) has earned offers from Pittsburgh and Minnesota following earlier camp performances, and while he did not earn a Buckeye offer just yet, he laid the foundation with them.
"I ran a 4.44 and performed really well," he said.
That performance lead to a conversation with the Buckeye head man himself, Urban Meyer.
"The linebackers coach was really impressed with everything I did and I ended up having great talk with Coach Meyer at the end and he said that he is very excited to recruit me."
Tucky hails from nearby Delaware Hayes (Ohio) and has been using camps to prove he can play linebacker after playing with his hand down last season.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Tucky holds several offers including Boston College, his first BCS offer, and he hopes Ohio State will eventually be added into that mix as well.
"It went great," he said. "It was my best camp of the Summer so far. I feel like if I have good game film this Fall, I could get an offer."
Tucky is an early member of the Scout 300 for the 2016 class. Coughlin is in the process of being evaluated.
