Could Mayblen Be Close To A Decision?

The Gophers stamped their footprint last year as they signed several players from Alabama. Now, they have offered Theodore (AL.) senior offensive tackle Ezekiel Mayblen. He talks about the offer and when a decision could be coming

Last year, Minnesota went down in Alabama and signed a couple players from Alabama. One player they signed, sealed and delivered was Theodore (AL.) tight end Jerry Gibson. Now, the Gophers are back at Theodore High School and offered their rising senior offensive tackle Ezekiel Mayblen.

"Coach (Jay) Sawvel called me and told me they wanted to offer me," Mayblen told GopherDigest. "I was excited for the offer. I really like Minnesota. They are in my top three along with Louisiana Lafayette and UAB. What I like about Minnesota is they are a great school and they just have a great program to be in."

The 6-5, 284-pound physical tackle updates when a decision could happen and what will be the main factors he takes in consideration when the time comes.

"I will be committed around the end of July," said Mayblen. "I look for the team that I fit in right and do my parents like the school and campus and what type of people I will be around for the next 4 years.I can't wait until I get up there to see Minnesota!"

Mayblen sits three offers now from UAB, Louisiana-Lafayette and Minnesota. He also feels he is on the verge of landing offers from South Alabama and Mississippi State as well.
