Its easy to see why he's one of the quickest rising prospects in the state of Illinois, Rockford Boylan Catholic quarterback Demry Croft. Who stands 6-foot-5, 185 pounds and perhaps has one of the highest amounts of raw talent in the state.
Most recently, Croft camped at Minnesota and enjoyed the experience from the moment he arrived.
"The visit was awesome," Croft said. "The skyline coming in was beautiful, the nicest I've seen in a while."
Plus, he got a good look at what the Gophers are all about.
"The campus was awesome, and the stadium and facilities were top notch," Croft said.
Shortly after getting back from his camp visit, the Gophers offered Croft, one that he was surpassed and delighted about.
"I was shocked at first when Minnesota offered me," Croft said. "But then I remembered that I waited my whole life for this opportunity."
And when Croft thought further about what he liked about the Gophers program?
"I do like that they run a similar offense to my high school," Croft said.
Camp season is drawing to a close for the signal caller -- and he is starting to prep for his high school season.
"I think I am done camping this summer," Croft said. "And I don't know where I am going on my next visit yet."
