There is a ton of talent out in the Golden State year in and year out and some can get overlooked. Los Angeles (CA.) Cathedral senior cornerback Cameron Haney is no exception as his recruitment as started off slow, but exploding this spring by now holding five offers. The Gophers have been closely watching Haney and he talks about his interest in them and how much an offer from them would mean.
“I talk to the Minnesota coach often,” Haney told GopherDigest. “He is going to keep recruiting me and offer me and just checking on me daily. He sends me facts and pictures of the school. I think they are going to offer during the season.”
“It would be great to get a offer coming from Minnesota, which has a great defense. I want to take a visit there. I hope to see them soon.”
The rising 5-11, 170-pound West Coast defender sits as the No. 93 corner in the nation and a three star prospect now by Scout. While Haney is continuing to gain interest from others like Minnesota, but could they be too late to the party?
“I got a top list of Nevada, Washington and Washington State,” said Haney. “I plan on visiting Washington State at the end of August. I think will decide soon, but I’m not still sure yet. The factors will be the coaching staff, campus and academics when I decide.”
