With fall camp underway, Minnesota is preparing for another big season and recently had a visitor in on an unofficial visit in Mayer (MN.) Lutheran junior offensive tackle Sam Schlueter. He talks about his time in Minneapolis and what the coaches told him as well.
“The visit went good,” Schlueter told GopherDigest. “I got to tour the practice facilities, sit through the team and offensive line meetings, and watch all of practice right next to all the players and coaches.”
“Coach Glasscock showed me around the whole time and I got the chance to talk to Coach Limegrover and Coach Kill. They told me they were glad I came down and that we’ll be talking as soon as September 1st comes around.”
The 6-6 275-pound three star in-state lineman has been up to Minnesota a couple times now and knows the next aspect of the Gophers he will be looking at when he comes up again.
“I’ve seen all the facilities, so the next thing I have to do is look into the academics, but I haven’t really looked into a lot of other schools yet, so I don’t really have a list of schools yet,” said Schlueter. “I think they’re a great team with great coaches and I’m definitely interested in them and getting to know the academic side of the U now.”
