Several talented prospects were on hand to watch Minnesota’s thrilling comeback win over Purdue like Lafayette (LA.) Comeaux senior wide receiver Hunter Register. The talented wide out recaps his time in Minneapolis and how the living accommodations caught his attention greatly as well.
“It was good,” Register told GopherDigest of his visit. “We got a campus tour then we ate dinner with the team. I hung out with a player and then the next day, we went to the game. We had another dinner and then I hang out with Gaelin (Elmore). The dorms were nice! They were real modern and it was spacious!”
During his trip to Minnesota, the 6-5, 190-pound long pass catcher got to spend some time with a few of the coaches along, while his parents got to do the same too.
“I talked to Coach (Jerry) Kill, Coach (Jay) Sawvel and Coach (Brian) Andersen. They were happy that I came down. They just talked about stuff in that sort. It was them and my parents doing most of the talking. My parents really liked Minnesota.”
Register sits the No. 203 ranked wide receiver in the nation and a three star recruit by Scout, who holds offers from the Gophers, Tulane, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Southern University, Texas Southern and Stephen F. Austin along with hearing from many others, but did this visit put Minnesota in pole position to secure his services?
“I’m high on them, but I don’t have a top list,” said Register. “I will be deciding after my season.”
